Nature is all around us. Just waiting for an invitation to come nearer and move in. Take for instance, Athena, making her nest for the seventh year at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. If you haven’t gone to see her, I recommend you go right now.
At Welcome Wild, we realize that these wild creatures are amazing and amazingly entertaining. With a gesture as simple as building a platform, or hanging a bird feeder you can attract colorful, whimsical wild birds to your doorstep. Feeders are simple, but they require frequent maintenance.
Whether you’re maintaining your own feeders, or letting Welcome Wild do it for you, the birds will be thankful and provide you with endless hours of entertainment. More than that, you’re strengthening wild bird populations that are increasingly under threat from development, habitat loss, and a host of other environmental stressors.
I hope you’ll take a moment to consider making your home more hospitable and welcome wild.
